Stop creating overwhelm and start creating more time!
- Consider where you suffer from overwhelm or too much stress
- Look at each of your tasks, considering them against your checklist. No rush & be honest.
- Look at how you do things - See if you can do the work without being rushed. Observe when feeling rushed / busy and become present.
- How do you feel considering the fact that 80% of your efforts are wasted time and 80% of your results come from 20% of what you do.
- Ask yourself twice a day - Am I being productive or just active ?
- Define a short must-do list
- Define a must not do list
- Just let go of things - important ones will be presented to you again.
- Cut work down to the most productive 20% you do. Ask yourself is it really in the 20% that produces results ?
- Look at your work monthly, as the skill of only working on the most productive is embedded. Avoid build-up of non-productive and allow your mind a chance to change.
- If I only accomplish this today, will I be satisfied with my day ?
- Nothing of no-importance will be missed - Everything important will be done.
- Look at your structure of the week. Optimise time management for a more efficient way to produce.
- Plan what you are going to do before being at work. Plan your week the week before, so your subconscious mind has a chance to solve the problems.
- Paper creates overwhelm, look at ways to remove it.
- Key question: 'Am I just inventing things to avoid the important stuff ?'
- Expect problems to solve themselves. Refuse emergencies and consider them the exception. Look for their route cause and try to prevent their occurrence.
- Consider ways to avoid phone calls. If you allow them, print & stick your checklist on your phone.
- Systemize your emails, to check them when ready and stop their abuse.
- When not present during daily work - is it productive & worthwhile ?
- Cure for overwhelm = don't allow yourself to create it. Observe when you do and see if there is any benefit in it for you! Does it help you ? It is there due to a lack of priorities. Don't fight it, but simply accept your created illusion. Observe how you created it and recognize the next time.
- Stop creating a lack of time by saying you don't have it - Create an abundance of it by knowing you have enough and always will for the most important things.
- Stop creating a lack of time = no rush & not feeling busy.
- Creating more time you can only do while being present.
- Do enjoyable things to demonstrate how you have an abundance of time.
- Whatever you think, you create, so why not KNOW you have plenty of now to do all you desire.
- Observe nature - how nothing is done and yet nothing remains undone. Soak up this present feeling of slowed down time and use it.
